ok... yellow folders equals "nothing new", red folders mean "new stuff". now lets say im looking at all the forums, and "Celica Discussion and Questions" is red. when i go into that one, the new topics arent in red, like i think theyre supposed to be. kinda makes it hard to tell whats new. am i the only one with this problem?

No, I had a problem like that. Just make sure cookies are enabled and then login and hit refresh when you get to the folder. The computer is using a copy stored on disk rather than updating.

fixed the problem! for an unrelated problem, went to "control panels", "add/remove programs", selected "internet explorer", and choose "repair". guess it was just an internal fault in IE6.

Here's my take. .linux for servers, M$ for desktops. I wouldn't switch either for anything.

Microsoft would never stay up for -this- website alone for over a day or so, and if I ran linux on my desktop I wouldn't be able to to play all my games or use all my toys (mp3 player, film card reader, etc.)

In case you didn't know, the server celicaweb is on, which I also run (NetMagi) has ALWAYS been 100% linux. I learned back in 94 from one of the guys that originally worked for RedHat.

In 8 years the server crashed ONE time . .and that was cuz I mistakenly mixed parity RAM with non-parity RAM. My fault. .

For reliability as a server, linux is Grade A+, but you'll never catch it on my "play" machine.

P.S.

when I'm not readin argumentative posts from h0nda drivers (which as of late have been too damn funny) I'm playin Return to Castle Wolfenstein online. In fact, I'm part of the [NN] clan. Anybody else here play???? I've also got a Traxxas T-MAXX gas (yes I said GAS) R/C truck. The thing is a BLAST!

I know this is an older post, but had to say
Castle Wolfenstein is great. When I heard it was being revised I flashed back to the DOS version "GUTENTAG brapppapap".
Then when DOOM came out I started having nightmares.
Aint life grand.

bact to the original problem at the top of the page: well, out of nowhere, it started doing it again (i should say "not doing it") repairing IE didnt fix it this time, nor did deleting the cookie... oh well, F' it...

haha, thought of "the big lebowski" when they made the drop... "eh, f*ck it dude, lets go bowling"
